Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program to 100M monthly social impressions and ran the paid ad engine beside it. For Fresh Clean Threads it is the same playbook: recruit by format, pay by band, kill losers early, move winners to paid. The category is new to me. I have not run organic apparel, so fabric, fit and sizing questions go to your team.

Why now

  • 28,626

    Reviews already on the page

One review block shows a 4.6 out of 5 rating based on 28,626 reviews. Creators start from proof, not from zero.

    Published
  • 19,646

    A second large review block

Another block lists 19,646 reviews. I do not know which product each count belongs to, so each creator is briefed on the exact tee they wear.

    Published
  • 8,387

A third block, rated 5 out of 5

A smaller block shows 8,387 reviews. Three review counts across the site mean a creator can point to real buyers on every product page.

    Published
  • 20%

Club FCT gives a video an offer

Club FCT is $19 per year and lists 20% off everything. A creator video has a concrete membership offer to point to.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect: cost per 1,000 views

The target is $1, Proposed. At default inputs the simulator says $5.74, so the first job is closing that gap, not adding creators.

  2. Pay by band, cap the month

Three bands, Starter to Premium, with caps from $600 to $1,500. All 10 creators at the top cap is $15,000 a month, bonuses excluded.

  3. Losers killed early, one variable per test

Seven videos per creator per week gives 303 videos a month at 10 creators. Each test changes the hook, the shot or the product, never all three.

  4. Say only what the sheet says

Creators quote three lines from the site, like 100-day returns and regular and tall sizes. Anything else goes to #claims before filming.

This week's brief: the White Crew 3-Pack at $58.00. Show three white tees in one drawer, then the fit on you. One variable this week: the hook. Drafts in #drafts by Thursday.

  2. JessMon 11:05 AM

Can I tell people the Mystery Tee 5-Pack lets me pick my colors?

No. The pack page says five surprise colors and that colors may vary. Say exactly that and show the unboxing.

  3. ReportbotAppMon 9:00 AM

Weekly report: views by creator, cost per 1,000 views against the $1.00 target, and the five formats ranked. Two hooks flagged to kill, one flagged to repeat.

  4. MartaWed 2:15 PM

Draft back, Dev. The line about the shirt making you look slimmer has to go. Say it is the Coffee Tuff Tee at $29.00 and show the fit. Re-send tonight.

  5. ReportbotAppFri 4:40 PM

Video past 100,000 views: Seasonal Colors Crew Neck unboxing by Jess. Organic views only. $50 flat bonus queued for Marta's review.

  6. MartaTue 10:00 AM

Check: your Laguna Crew Neck video mentions 100-day returns. Confirm the product page says it before it goes live.

Confirmed. The page says free exchanges and no-hassle 100-day returns. Posting at noon.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. All-white drawer

    Brief 01

    All-white drawer

“I wore only white tees for a week. Here's the fit.”

Overhead on a bed: three white tees laid flat, then one worn, front and side. Natural light, one take.

  2. Tuff Tee wear test

    Brief 02

    Tuff Tee wear test

“Tuff Tees are back. I wore one all day, here's how it held.”

Morning, midday and night clips in one Coffee Tuff Tee. End on a close-up of the fabric. Talk to camera once.

  3. Color of the month

    Brief 03

    Color of the month

“A new color shows up every month. This is this month's.”

Unbox the Seasonal Colors Crew Neck, hold the color to window light, try it on, explain the monthly rule once.

  4. One shirt, three outfits

    Brief 04

    One shirt, three outfits

“Gym, desk, dinner: one Performance Crew, three outfits.”

Three quick changes of setting, same shirt, handheld. No performance numbers, only how it feels and fits.

  5. Size check

    Brief 05

    Size check

“Size check: how the Copper Crew Neck fits on my build.”

Stand against a wall: front, side, arm raise. Say your height and size aloud, then the fit in one sentence.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Free exchanges and no-hassle 100-day returns”, “NEW colors each month”, “Available in regular and tall sizes”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Reviewers of the crew necks

People who already write about the $23.00 crew necks, invited to a paid test. Their own words show they wear the product.

  • Monthly unboxers

Creators who film subscription boxes and clothing hauls. The Seasonal Colors subscription, with new colors each month, is built for that format.

  • Size-range creators

Creators who show fit across builds. The site lists fits from S-4XL and regular and tall sizes, so the roster should look like that range.

  • Direct outreach, no ambassador page

I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the site. Recruiting starts with direct messages and a short test brief, not an application form.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Fit on camera

Shows the shirt on a real body, front and side, within the first three seconds.

  2. 2Already wears basics

Their feed has tees and crew necks in daily use, not only gifted hauls.

  3. 3Claims discipline

Passes a test brief: quotes only the claims sheet and makes no body promises.

  4. 4Weekly rhythm

Can deliver 7 videos per week for the six-week ramp without quality dropping.

  5. 5Size and build range

Adds a build or size the roster lacks, from S-4XL, regular or tall.

Part 7 of 15

Who

  • Everyday basics guy

Wears one crew neck five days a week and has opinions on neckline and drape.

    Likely product: Laguna Crew Neck

  • Tall-fit reviewer

Struggles to find body length that works and shows regular versus tall side by side.

Likely product: Seasonal Colors Crew Neck

  • Subscription unboxer

Films monthly boxes, loves a surprise and reacts to colors on camera.

    Likely product: Mystery Tee 5-Pack

  • Cold-weather layerer

Layers thermals under flannels and shows texture and how the layers sit.

    Likely product: Black Waffle Thermal

  • Women's basics shopper

Compares crew and V-neck cuts and sizes across the women's line.

Likely product: Blush Everyday Crew Neck

  • Work-trip packer

Packs light and builds a week of outfits from a single three-pack.

    Likely product: Black Crew 3-Pack

Left off, every time

Always left out: anyone who sells body or wellness promises, anyone who dresses a tee as medical advice, minors, and anyone running a rival tee brand's code this season. Category rule: no certification, material or body claims beyond the claims sheet.

Part 9 of 15

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Premium & Affordable Basics That Fit”

Opening line of a video, with the fit shot right after.

  • “Free exchanges and no-hassle 100-day returns”

Closing line on any subscription or pack video.

  • “NEW colors each month”

    Seasonal Colors unboxings.

  • “Available in regular and tall sizes”

    Size check and tall-fit videos.

  • “Three versatile colors. One pack built for the season.”

    Forest Frost Crew 3-Pack videos.

  • “20% off everything”

Club FCT mentions, together with the $19 membership price.

  • “Rated 4.6 out of 5 stars”

Only when the video points to the page that shows this rating.

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Never say the shirts are certified organic

A certification claim that no collected page backs up.

  • Never say a tee will make you look slimmer

A body outcome promise, outside what a shirt can claim.

  • Never say it beats a named competitor brand

A comparison claim with no evidence on the sheet.

  • Never say it is the lowest price anywhere

A price superlative nobody has checked.

  • Never say the Mystery Tee 5-Pack lets you pick colors

The pack page says colors may vary, so this contradicts it.

  • Never say the shirts never shrink or fade

An absolute durability promise beyond the sheet.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Free shipping on every order

Another site line gives a $100+ threshold. Confirm the current rule before any video mentions shipping.

  • Club FCT discount stacking

The membership page lists an extra 5% with a code. Confirm how it combines before a creator explains it.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

First-time creators with one clean fit video: low base, low cap, room to move up.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Creators who ship seven videos a week and hold the claims sheet: the middle band.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Creators whose videos regularly beat the roster: highest cap, reviewed monthly.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, even if more than one video passes 100,000 views.
  • Judged per video: the $50 is flat once that video passes 100,000 views, never per extra view.
  • Organic views only. Paid boosting does not count toward the 100,000.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

At default inputs the program costs $10,050 a month for 1.8M views: $5.74 per 1,000 against the $1.00 target. To close it, 4.2% of videos go viral or the median hits 21,711 views.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Pick

Videos that pass 100,000 views organically become candidates for paid.

  2. Re-check claims

Read the cut against the claims sheet again before any spend.

  3. Secure usage

Get the creator's written agreement for paid use before the video runs as an ad.

  4. Test one change

Run it as an ad with a single variable changed. Losers killed early.

From the video to the checkout

  • Single-tee videos land on the product page, such as the Laguna Crew Neck at $23.00.
  • Pack videos land on the White Crew 3-Pack at $58.00 or the Fall Essentials Crew 6-Pack at $105.00.
  • Unboxing videos land on the Seasonal Colors Crew 3-Pack at $50.00.
  • Mention returns only as the page words them: free exchanges and no-hassle 100-day returns.
  • Mention Club FCT only with the page wording: $19 per year, 20% off everything.

Part 15 of 15

Apparel rules

Apparel rules for creators

Crew necks at $23.00, Tuff Tees at $29.00, flannels at $59.00: the rules are the same. Six rules, checked before every post goes live.

  • No body or health promises

A shirt does not change a body. Talk about fit, feel, color and how it layers. Anything about weight, posture or wellness is out.

  • Material as the page words it

The site describes a ringspun cotton and polyester blend. Do not call a tee organic, natural or sustainable unless the sheet says so.

  • Sizes as listed

Fits run from S-4XL, in regular and tall. State your own height and size, and never promise a fit to anyone else.

  • Prices and offers as shown

Quote the price the product page shows. Invent no discounts, and confirm the free-shipping threshold before mentioning shipping.

  • Returns and colors

Say 100-day returns only with the page wording. Say colors vary on the Mystery Tee 5-Pack, and never promise a specific color.

  • Disclose every post

Mark each video as a paid partnership in the platform's own tool and the caption, before it goes live, not after.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
